Huawei has introduced a new laptop model MateBook 14s. Its main features are a 2K screen with a 90Hz refresh rate, 11th Gen Intel processors and fast charging via USB-C.
The laptop is made in an aluminum alloy case. It is quite lightweight, weighing 1.43 kg with a diagonal of 14.2 inches. Interestingly, like the recently presented Huawei MateView monitor (we have a test of it), the MateBook 14s received a not quite usual 3: 2 aspect ratio. This makes it easier to view multi-screen sites and text documents.
By the way, about the screen. Its resolution is 2520×1680, maximum brightness is 400 nits, and contrast is 1500: 1. At the same time, the manufacturer promises 100% coverage of the RGB color space, which will be important for those who professionally work with photos. At the same time, the screen is also touch-sensitive, it supports up to 10 touches at the same time.
MateBook 14s received a powerful Intel Core i7-11370H processor, support for dual-channel LPDDR4x RAM with a capacity of 16 GB, as well as NVMe PCIe drives with a capacity of up to 1 TB. Unlocking can be done both by fingerprint and face recognition.
Owners of other Huawei gadgets actually receive additional bonuses. For example, they can connect their smartphone to a laptop and control it from the big screen. You can also make and answer calls from your laptop (again, when you connect your smartphone).
The 60 Wh battery allows the MateBook 14s to run up to 13 hours of FHD video playback. One of the USB-C ports is used for charging: taking into account the support of Huawei SuperCharge and the included 90 W adapter, the connection for only 15 minutes. will be enough for 3 hours of battery life.
Pre-orders for the new product will begin to take on October 26: the laptop will be available in the colors “space gray” and “sage green”.
