HTC has unveiled a new headset for virtual reality Vive Flow, made in glasses format. Sales will begin in November. The VR glasses, which are already open for pre-order, are priced by the manufacturer at $ 499.
The novelty was equipped with a pair of 2.1-inch displays with a resolution of 1600×1600 pixels and a refresh rate of 75 Hz, as well as dual lenses with a viewing angle of 100 degrees. The device received a Qualcomm XR1 chip, 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal memory, integrated speakers and microphones with echo cancellation. Subsequently, with updates, there will be a gesture control function.
As a controller, Vive Flow uses a smartphone with an operating system not lower than Android 9, to which the VR glasses are connected via Bluetooth. Using a USB Type-C cable, the device can be connected to either a power source or an external battery. A branded battery and storage case are available as accessories for the VR headset.
