To clear the RAM of the smartphone, you need to unload the data of active applications from it – in other words, terminate all programs and background processes.
The fastest way to delete processes from the RAM of a gadget on Android is to tap on the “Recent” button to open the list of recently launched applications and clear it.
You can also close processes individually using the device setting. Screenshots were taken on a Samsung smartphone running Android 11. The names of the menu items may slightly differ depending on the smartphone model and OS version.
- Open the Settings menu on your Android smartphone.
- Find the “Applications” section.
- Select the program that you want to close or that you are not using.
- In the window that opens, click “Stop” (“Exit”) to close all running processes and application services. The more unnecessary applications you close, the more RAM is freed up.
By the way, recently we also talked about how to clear the RAM on your computer.
