The level of attention to Ukrainian-Russian events has remained unchanged for 3 months.
Currently, 55% of Russian citizens are in favor of starting negotiations, and 38% insist on continuing hostilities. But if Vladimir Putin decided to stop armed aggression in Ukraine, 70% of Russians would support their leader.
This is evidenced by the results of a survey by the Russian analytical organization Levada Center.
The Russians are confident that hostilities will continue:
If there was an option to return to the past, the report says, 43% of Russians would support the so-called “SVO”, and 41% would oppose it.
Interesting experiment
Analysts decided to conduct an experiment as part of a survey. Thus, using a random number generator, respondents were divided into two equal groups. Participants were asked a question in one of two formulations.
The experiment showed that the majority of respondents – 70% – would support the decision of the dictatorial president to withdraw troops from Ukraine.
However, there is an interesting nuance regarding the captured lands. If Putin decided to end the conflict upon the return of the “annexed” territories, only 34% of Russians would support his actions.
Russians on social networks are increasingly leaving comments under posts about the death of Russian occupiers, the content of which differs significantly from the rhetoric of February 2022. They complain that “their best gene pool is dying, no one knows for what or by whom.”
