“We assume that the war will continue until 2024. We need some basic spending to encourage the return of migrants. It will take time for migrants to return to Ukraine. So we expect only a small net influx next year 2024 “, noted the IMF representative.
So, according to the IMF forecast, by the end of the forecast period (until 2027) “there will be a net negative outflow of 2 million people in relation to the pre-war scenario.”
