Weapons and personal protective equipment with the emblems of Hamas militants were seized from Gaza's largest hospital.
In Gaza's largest hospital, Al-Shifa, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) found, among other things, a laptop containing photographs and videos of the hostages taken after their abduction.
The Israeli edition of the Times of Israel reported this on Thursday, November 16.
The military did not show photos or videos, but told one of the two foreign journalists first allowed into the hospital, BBC reporter Lucy Williamson, that the laptop also contained recently released video footage of Israeli police interrogating Hamas terrorists arrested after the October 7 assault.
With reference to IDF information, the journalist reported that “more than a dozen Kalashnikov assault rifles, grenades, personal protective equipment, some of them with the emblems of the Hamas military brigade” were seized from the MRI room in this hospital.
She said the findings suggested the hospital could have been a Hamas base of operations.
IDF Lt. Col. Jonathan Conricus believes that Hamas has been in the hospital “for the last few days.”
“At the end of the day, this is just the tip of the iceberg. This is probably what they were forced to leave behind. This is much more than we hoped for,” he said.
Recall that on Wednesday, November 15, Israeli troops raided Gaza's largest hospital, Al-Shifa, which has become a symbol of the suffering of Palestinian civilians during the war between Israel and Hamas.
