A CINNO Research report revealed that a new contender for leaders has emerged in the smartphone market in China – Honor, a former subsidiary of Huawei. The manufacturer took third place and even surpassed Apple and Xiaomi.
Honor sold 4 million smartphones in July, Xiaomi 3.9 million and Apple 3 million.
Oppo retained its lead in the Chinese market with 5.6 million smartphones sold. Vivo, which ranks second, has 5.3 million. At the same time, July 2021 was not the most impressive for the market. Only 26 new smartphone models were released in the country, which is 38.1% less than usual.
We will remind, Huawei decided to sell Honor in order to survive in the conditions of US sanctions.
