Police in the West Indian state of Maharashtra have detained a teenager suspected of having cut off the head of his pregnant sister. The murder took place in the Aurangabad area. A 19-year-old girl ran away from her family in June and married her lover – her family was against it.

However, the police say that this requirement will be challenged in court, because they found a certificate confirming that the man is an adult. The mother was taken into custody.
Police also suspect that they also took a selfie with the woman's head severed.
It should be noted that, according to activists, hundreds of people are killed every year in India for falling in love or marrying against the wishes of their families.
