Russia attracts any religious organizations and denominations to fulfill its goals in the war against Ukraine.
In particular, it is known that some representatives of Muslim organizations in Russia support the invasion of Russian troops into Ukraine and proclaimed it a “holy war”.
This was discussed during a meeting of the Verkhovna Rada committee.

For example, some representatives of Muslim organizations in the Russian Federation proclaimed the invasion of Russian troops in Ukraine as a holy war, which can have an impact on Muslims both in Ukraine and around the world,” he said. It is worth noting that people's deputies want to completely ban the activities of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the Moscow Patriarchate. Two bills on the prohibition and termination of the activities of the UOC-MP have been registered in the Parliament. On May 30, religious figures of various faiths, scientists, representatives of public society, lawyers, people's deputies, etc. were involved in hearings during discussions on these projects.
