The veteran admitted that he knows several Ukrainian songs and even sang one of them.
Jakub-Tomasz Novakovsky, a veteran from Poland, appealed to the Ukrainians opposing the Russian invaders with support.
Nowakovsky's video message appeared on the Web.
< p>According to the veteran, he fought in the Polish Home Army and participated in the Warsaw Uprising against the Nazis in 1944.

“Keep fighting , Ukraine. Protect your independence. I believe that more and more help for you will come from states that are passive, but in the end they will understand that if you are not protected, then their turn will come,” the veteran said.
