The Serhiy Prytula Charitable Foundation purchased 101 Spartan tracked armored personnel carriers. The first 24 vehicles have already arrived in Ukraine.

The case with “Spartans” was quite complex, time-consuming and costly in the context of the human resource. 101 units is much more than originally planned. Sergey Prytula told Channel 24 about this.

“I want to thank all the people who, with their own funds, made it possible to carry out such a big deal as the purchase of a fairly serious batch of armored vehicles, because our troops constantly need it. We are glad that our fund has become the tool that will help the ground forces and our Defense Forces in in general,” Prytula said.

Will help liberate Ukrainian lands

According to the founder of the fund, our defenders will receive different models of armored personnel carriers, each with its own functionality. In particular, some are designed to transport personnel, others to evacuate the wounded from the battlefield. There are also command and technical vehicles for the evacuation of armored vehicles. Moreover, some involve the installation of anti-aircraft missile systems on them.

Then it's up to the military. We hope that this technique will certainly help to liberate our lands,” Prytula emphasized.

He stressed that the item to be purchased was previously agreed with the military of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. “Spartans” proved themselves very well in battles during the counteroffensive. Therefore, the charitable foundation was faced with the task of replenishing the fleet of this armored vehicle in Ukraine.

There were different armored vehicles, but we still operate on relatively limited budgets. Armored vehicles worth 250 – 350 – 500 thousand euros per unit is the scale of the Ministry of Defense. We are glad that for the budget we had, we carried out a historic event, – said the philanthropist.

The project made it possible to purchase a record number of armored vehicles, he continues, which will enter the Armed Forces of Ukraine not through logistical assistance from our partners and intergovernmental communications.

“These are people in Ukraine and people who support us from abroad, these are children, these are Ukrainian businesses that have chipped in, which made it possible to purchase 101 armored personnel carriers. We highlighted the first batch today, we will also highlight the next ones. I want to thank our logistics partner, Novaya Pochta “, which paid for the delivery, and we were able to use the budget directly for purchases,” Sergey Prytula summed up.
