Marcel Hirscher
Marcel Hirscher is training hard again after a broken leg and separation. The ski retiree flexes his muscles on Instagram.
The 31-year-old reports for the first time since the surprising separation from his wife Laura on his social media channels, presents himself in top form despite the leg brace.
“Nothing stands in the way of a ski season,” says Hirscher manager Dominic Tritscher in an interview with “Today” – with a wink, of course. The Salzburg man is not thinking of a World Cup comeback. He has ruled that out several times in the past few months.
Nevertheless, he is already looking forward to his return to the snow: on his ski tours, daring descents through unsecured terrain and as a test pilot for his new equipment company “The Mountain Studio”.
“The healing process is progressing rapidly. Marcel is already very mobile. As you can see on Instagram, he's training in the weight room. He's already back on his bike,” Tritscher gives an update.
As with his eight overall World Cup victories, Hirscher leaves nothing to chance, relies on modern technology: “The plaster of paris is an aircast that can also be removed for therapeutic purposes.”
The ski retiree injured himself during an enduro rally in Romania and broke his left fibula when he fell over a stone. Only a few days later, Annaberg announced the end of love after twelve years with his wife Laura.
In keeping with this, Hirscher now writes about the new muscle photos: “Up and down. I'm pushing back!” Up and down – the 32-year-old alludes to his current low.
He won't let that stop him. The leg injury doesn't stop him from exercising. When pumping, he fights against the pain of separation. Marcel and Laura parted on good terms. After all, they are also concerned with the well-being of their children.
Around the separation it leaked to the public for the first time that Hirscher became a dad for the second time about a year ago after the two-year-old son. He also wants to keep the name of his daughter a secret.
