State Duma deputy, pilot-cosmonaut Roman Romanenko came up with an initiative to introduce certificates for military pensioners for the first job after being retired. The Hero of Russia offered to issue financial assistance in the amount of 100 thousand rubles. This money will be received by employers who hire military pensioners. Thus, enterprises and companies will be able to offset their costs of taxes and social benefits.
– Military retirees start life “in civilian life” at about 50 years old. They go to find a job, but employers are reluctant to hire them, Romanenko emphasized. – Supposedly, except how to shoot and run, they can do nothing. The employer could send the 100 thousand rubles received from the state to pay taxes or social benefits for an employed military pensioner in the first months of his work.
According to the astronaut, military pensioners often have difficulties in adapting to civilian life. Such certificates will be a good material support and an incentive for employers to recruit ex-military personnel.
“They need to be given time to rebuild, and a payment of 100 thousand will be a good help and incentive for the employer to employ a former soldier,” the State Duma deputy believes.
Earlier, Romanenko proposed to develop a state program for partial compensation of tourist trips for pensioners. In his opinion, the Government could increase the amount of tourist cashback for older people from 20 to 30%. But the main thing, the cosmonaut believes, is that all elderly people, without exception, need to be given the opportunity to travel around their native country. To do this, it is necessary to introduce annual subsidies that would allow pensioners to travel around Russia.
Romanenko also proposed introducing compensation for parents in Moscow, reimbursing them half of the costs of children's sports and travel to the competition sites. The State Duma deputy believes that such a measure to support families will be a good incentive to popularize sports among children and adolescents.
