Heraf
Ried success coach Andreas Heraf goes on sick leave. That is why the 54-year-old has even offered the people of Innviertel to resign.
Heraf struggled with a laryngitis and a cyst in his throat, and also complained of problems with the vocal cords. That is why the Ried trainer goes on sick leave and will be absent for several weeks.
The native of Vienna even offered the Upper Austrian Bundesliga team his resignation, reports the “OÖN”. Heraf asked CFO Roland Daxl whether it would not be better to terminate the contract immediately. However, the club refused. Finally, the 54-year-old led the Innviertel to fourth place in the table.
In the next few weeks, however, Heraf will have to take it easy. The coach received an absolute ban on speaking and will therefore withdraw completely from day-to-day business. Co-trainer Christian Heinle is meanwhile moving into the first link.
“He takes full responsibility, which also means that he makes all decisions independently, by which he is measured as head coach,” said sports boss Thomas Reifeltshammer.
Heinle will give its premiere on the supervisory bank on Saturday. Ried welcomes newcomers Austria Klagenfurt at 5 p.m.
