This is reported by the Russian edition of Lenta.ru.

It follows from the case materials that in May 2021 Atarshchikov and his former partner had a feast at his house. While drinking alcohol, a conflict arose between them. The woman did not want to continue the relationship with Atarshchikov.

The man decided that she was a witch. Like, her eyes are shining. Then he decided to check it out.

Atarshchikov went to the barn for a can of gasoline, doused his ex-girlfriend and set her on fire. The woman instantly flared up.

The convict extinguished the victim and smeared the burns that the woman received with ointment. Despite this, the next day she felt worse. The woman was hospitalized with first, second and third degree burns to the head, neck, body and hands.

Atarshchikov himself was found guilty under Art. 111 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (“Intentional infliction of grievous bodily harm, dangerous to a person's life, committed with torment for the victim”).

The court appointed the man 2.5 years in prison, taking into account mitigating circumstances – the victim stated that the defendant reimbursed her material damage and moral damage in full.

Recall that in Kiev, a man on the street, out of jealousy, brutally stabbed his former beloved partner.
