< p>At least 13 people were killed in a fire that engulfed three nightclubs in the city of Murcia in southeastern Spain. Rescuers continue to search for other victims.

The fire broke out on Sunday, October 1, at about 6 a.m. local time (7 a.m. Kiev time) in the Fonda nightclub, and then spread to two neighboring entertainment venues.
The fire took two hours to extinguish. More than 40 firefighters and 12 ambulances responded to the scene.
All of the dead were found in the Fonda nightclub, which suffered the most damage from the fire, including the collapse of its roof.
Four people were hospitalized due to smoke inhalation, and rescue teams are still searching for the missing, of whom there are now eight.
What happened at the nightclub
National police spokesman Diego Seraglio said there was a birthday party at the club on Saturday night.
Forensic experts are working to determine the cause of the fire.
Video footage released by the city's fire brigade showed Firefighters can be seen holding a long hose as they approach the fire inside the establishment, passing bar tables with drinks still on them.
Mourning has been declared
The city mayor's office said it “deeply regrets” the accident and expressed condolences to the victims.
The mayor declared three days of mourning and created a reception center for relatives of the victims.
This fire is the largest in terms of the number of victims in Spain in a recreation facility after the 1990 tragedy at the Flying nightclub in Zaragoza, where 43 people died.
Recall that earlier at a wedding in Iraq, a fire broke out, engulfing the entire celebration hall. As a result, more than 100 people died, including brides.
