Helicopter makes an emergency landing in Kazakhstan

A VO-105 helicopter carrying out a training flight made an emergency landing in Kazakhstan, the press service of the Ministry of Industry and Infrastructure Development of the country reported.

It is noted that after the helicopter climbed to a predetermined altitude of 300 feet 20 km from the airport of the city of Petropavlovsk, it had a spontaneous failure of the right engine. As a result, the crew commander decided to make an emergency landing of the helicopter. It was successful. No harm done.

At the time of the incident, the pilot-instructor and the pilot-in-command of the aircraft were on board.

An investigation into the incident has now begun.
