Heavy rains flood northeast China
The flooding occurred in northeastern China. Heavy rains hit Liaoning province, MIR 24 reports.
Emergency services evacuated about 4.5 thousand people. Streets and buildings were flooded. Precipitation caused mudflows and landslides in the mountains. A section of one of the highways is closed for traffic. Water exceeded water limits in 13 small reservoirs in the province. The worst of all the elements raged in Benxi County. About 258 millimeters of precipitation fell there, which is two and a half times more than the norm. According to forecasters, the rains in the province will continue for two more days.
