In Kiev, forecasters predict thick fog by the end of the day. Visibility will be 200-500 m, ice on the roads.
In order not to be injured, pedestrians are urged to be careful when moving around the city, and drivers are encouraged to refrain from driving their own cars if possible.
If it is impossible to avoid a trip, drivers are asked to be as careful as possible on the roads and follow the following tips:
- slow down;
- if there are fog lights, turn them on together with the low beam;
- keep a safe distance from other vehicles ;
- turn on hazard warning lights when stopping;
- avoid sudden maneuvers on the road.
Meanwhile, pedestrians are asked to move carefully around the city and report untreated areas and territories to the Call Center of the city of Kiev by phone 15-51.
Earlier, forecaster Natalya Didenko warned that the Ukrainians are waiting for weather surprises on New Year's Eve. According to her, it will be coldest in the East, and in the southern regions the forecaster promises dry and sunny weather. But insignificant wet snow may go during the day.
