Head of the Council of Europe urged to keep EU borders open despite pandemic

The head of the European Council Charles Michel called for keeping the internal borders of the European Union (EU) open despite the pandemic. He announced this following the summit of the EU heads of state, RIA Novosti quoted him as saying.

“We are convinced that we must keep the borders open in order to keep the internal market working,” he said.

On January 21, the first country in the European Union – Hungary – approved the Russian Sputnik V coronavirus vaccine.

There are currently several COVID-19 vaccines in the world. Thus, two vaccines are registered in Russia: Sputnik V and EpiVacCorona. On December 5, 2020, vaccination against coronavirus with Sputnik V started in Moscow. The US also began inoculating the population with drugs from Pfizer / BioNTech and Moderna.
