“Currently, at the expert level, there is no doubt about the natural origin of the new coronavirus,” he said on the air of the Russia 24 TV channel.
Maksyutov added that the changes in the new coronavirus are 20% compared to the previous virus. If we talk about the artificial origin of the infection, then such work is impossible for humanity, the specialist noted.
Earlier, Rinat Maksyutov said that the EpiVacCorona vaccine is effective against the British strain of coronavirus infection. He added that the need to modernize the drug is currently being considered. According to Maksyutov, modernization may be required years later, similar to vaccination against seasonal flu.
