In one of the telegram channels, which is run by an employee of one of the special services of the aggressor country, it is indicated that Bessmertny was ambushed by Russian volunteers, probably from the Russian Volunteer Corps, in a UAZ “Patriot” car with two more soldiers of the 49th Combined Arms Army of Russia.

In the car, according to Russian media , were also:

• senior lieutenant Kolotov Alexey Olegovich;
• junior sergeant Shorikov Daniil Stanislavovich.

The telegram channel also noted that Kolotov was wounded and captured, and now he is probably on the territory of Ukraine. Meanwhile, Shorikov died on the spot, like Bessmertny.

It is worth noting that Bessmertny was supposed to serve as part of the 32nd engineer-sapper regiment in the Kherson direction. However, the influential father of the Russian helped ensure that he was transferred to a safer place, in particular, in the Belgorod region.
