In Chernivtsi, a man was sentenced to 11 years in prison for arson of his 16-year-old daughter.
A 40-year-old resident of Chernivtsi was convicted of attempted murder and willful destruction of property. He was sentenced to 11 years in prison.
The prosecutor proved that he, being intoxicated, tried to take the life of his wife and children. A dispute arose between the spouses. The daughter stood up for the mother. The man did not react to the comments, behaved aggressively. He took a bottle of gasoline, doused the room and daughter. The liquid got on the hot stove, the fire instantly spread to the 16-year-old girl. Leaving his wife and three children in the house, the man fled from the scene of the crime.
The girl received burns to her face, neck and both hands.
The father pleaded not guilty, but the prosecutor provided sufficient evidence of his involvement in the crime.

The man was convicted under Articles of Part 2 of Art. 15, paragraph 5, part 2 of Art. 115 and part 2 of Art. 194 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

She died from her injuries (90% of body burns), which she received as a result of a fire in the Kosovo Central District Hospital.
