A man was arrested in Kiev, who stabbed a bystander of his fight with his wife. The victim died on the spot from the received wounds.
The incident took place on Bulgakov Street in Svyatoshinsky District. A man was returning home from work and noticed how someone was bullying and beating the woman who was walking by.
He is decided to intervene in the conflict and stand up for a defenseless woman, which angered her abuser. A 29-year-old man took a kitchen knife from his pocket and stabbed his opponent twice in the stomach.

What the police say
When patrol officers and investigators arrived at the scene, the killer and his wife managed to escape.
The medical team stated the death of the man. His body was sent for forensic examination to establish the exact cause of death.
To find the spouses, interviews with witnesses were held, as well as video from surveillance cameras. The man suspected of the murder was arrested less than an hour later.
– This is a Kiev resident who was previously convicted of a property crime, born in 1992. We seized from him a possible instrument of committing a crime, namely, a kitchen knife, which was sent for examination, – was confirmed by the police.
During interrogation, the man confirmed the version of the investigation about the murder of a man from -for comments so that he stopped beating the woman. The state of the 29-year-old criminal's wife is not reported.
Criminal proceedings are open under clause 7, part 2 of Art. 115 (Premeditated murder committed with hooligan motives) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
For the committed man faces punishment in the form of imprisonment up to 15 years or life imprisonment.
