Pope Francis urged church ministers not to justify the war with religion.

The media note that the Pope's sermon was addressed to Patriarch Kirill, who is trying to justify the brutal war against Ukraine in this way.

RFE/RL writes about this.

The Pope spoke at the Seventh Congress of World Leaders and traditional religions in Nur-Sultan, the capital of Kazakhstan. He emphasized that God is not war, but peace.

“God is peace. He always leads us along the path of peace, and never along the path of war. If the creator, to whom we dedicated our lives, is the author human life, then how can we, those who call ourselves believers, agree to the destruction of this life,” said Pope Francis.

The Pope noted that religious organizations should not become a support for rulers and vice versa.< /p>

Recall that Patriarch Kirill threatens wealthy Russians with hell if they do not share their money.
