In the Rivne region, a 35-year-old man cut his girlfriend's boyfriend with a knife. Without an invitation, he came to their home to “sow” for the Old New Year.
The incident took place in the village of Kopan. Together, the lovers prepared a festive dinner and rested in the house of a 27-year-old man. That same evening there was a knock on the door of a familiar woman.
A 35-year-old man went inside and began to “sow”, after which he announced that he was taking his girlfriend with him.
The woman refused, and then the owner of the house began to escort him out into the street. Not wanting to go anywhere without the woman, the older man punched him in the face.
During the scandal, an uninvited guest managed to steal a kitchen knife from the table: already on the street, a man hit a 27-year-old man in the back with it and left.
What the police say
Law enforcement officers received reports of the attack on the same evening. Despite the refusal to provide medical assistance, the bloody owner of the house was still hospitalized.
Doctors diagnosed a stab wound in the lumbar region of the lower back. A 27-year-old man is in the hospital.
Criminal proceedings are open under Part 1 of Art. 121 (Deliberate grievous bodily injury) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The court has already chosen a measure of restraint for the 35-year-old attacker: he will be in jail for at least two months.
The woman who caused the conflict between the two men, fortunately, was not injured. The pre-trial investigation continues.
