In the city of Globino in the Poltava region, a man severely beat a dog and threw it in the trash to die.
Local veterinarians fought for the life of the animal for several days: when the dog was taken to the hospital, he was in a terrible state.
& # 8212; The dog was exhausted, emaciated, with head wounds. The wounds are about 3-4 cm, chopped and purulent, – said the head of the Globin State Veterinary Hospital Marina Garmash.
A local resident reported to the police that a half-dead dog was lying in the trash can. p>
Law enforcers quickly found the owner of the crippled animal. It turned out to be 56-year-old Nikolai: he explained his cruel act by the fact that he wanted to punish the dog, because it began to crush his chickens.
In front of his children, he beat the dog with a hammer, then tied it with a rope and carried it to the nearest trash can, where he left it dripping blood in a bag.
– No, I don’t feel sorry for him. We fed the dog, and, you see, she wanted fresh meat. Well, I'm full, I crushed more than six chickens. Everyone, goodbye, & # 8212; commented the would-be owner of the tortured animal.
For cruelty to the animal, and even in the presence of children, Nikolai faces three years in prison. A suspicion will be announced to him shortly.
– I believe that such facts should be recorded and people should be punished for such behavior. If the animal survives, I will take her home and take care of her, ”one of the police promised.
The fate of the injured dog
The veterinarians named the victim of 56-year-old Nikolai Lucky, which from English translates as & # 8220; lucky & # 8221;, because the dog is actively fighting for his life.

There is no way to do X-rays or ultrasound diagnostics at the state hospital, so Lucky has no exact diagnosis yet. The doggie is still rather weak for transportation, but in general it is on the mend.
