A 59-year-old woman who severely beat her neighbor with a shovel will be tried in the Zhytomyr region. This was her response to the man's remarks about alcohol abuse.
The incident took place at the end of September in the village of Andreevka, Chernyakhovsky district. At lunchtime, with her friend, the woman drank and made noise, and then went out into the street.
To make a remark to the unfortunate neighbor, a 68-year-old man left his yard. A conflict arose between them, which quickly escalated into a fight: in a fit of anger, the woman grabbed a shovel, and her neighbor & # 8212; for the pitchfork.
After the first blow with a shovel, the pensioner began to run away, but a drunken neighbor caught up with him and continued to beat him with a shovel in the middle of the street.
With multiple chopped and lacerated head wounds, the 68-year-old man was hospitalized in intensive care. According to the conclusions of experts, the injuries inflicted are classified as serious.

What the police say
When the police arrived at the crime scene, a drunken neighbor barricaded herself in her own house and categorically refused to go outside.
During the searches, a bloody shovel and clothes with traces of a neighbor's blood were seized.
Criminal proceedings were opened under Art. 121 (Intentional grievous bodily harm) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. Since the beginning of the investigation (September 2021), the woman has been in custody.
The incriminated article provides for a penalty of imprisonment for a term of five to eight years.
