The investigation is considering several versions of why the serviceman Artem Ryabchuk staged a shooting in the Dnieper.
This was stated during a briefing on January 27 by the press secretary of the State Bureau of Investigations Tatiana Sapyan.
To the question of the ICTV Facts journalist she replied that investigators are currently forming versions of the crime committed. Only after that, the GBR will be able to publish the official results.
— Today, with the permission of the investigators, I can say that several versions are really being considered, among which are possible non-statutory relations that could have caused this crime. Information about the fight that took place a few months ago and the harassment of the detainee by other servicemen is already being checked.
Tatiana Sapyan also added that 20-year-old soldier Artem Ryabchuk has already been informed of suspicion under three articles of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
We are talking about Article 115 (Premeditated murder), Article 408 (Desertion) and Article 410 (Theft of weapons and military supplies by a serviceman).
Investigators will appoint an examination, which should determine the mental state of the serviceman, and also check whether Artem Ryabchuk was in a state of alcoholic or narcotic intoxication at the time of the crime.
