Some donors have already responded and are ready to start financing her election program.
Allies of the Vice President United States Kamala Harris is attracting Democratic donors to finance her election campaign in case of Joker Biden's departure.
The publication writes about this < strong>Politico.
The outlet's sources said a Democratic Party donor adviser has begun soliciting donations from female donors in support of Harris, and the women's organization is negotiating with donors to try to secure her support.
The leader of one of the women's political organizations, speaking on condition of anonymity, said that: “The important thing is that now there is a massive demonstration of support for her, which is a signal that we are all for her.”
She noted that the organization is already preparing letters and messages. Those focused on supporting female candidates have already begun planning how to help Harris with a quick show of strength by preparing donor lists. Some donors have already responded and are ready to provide money.
Additionally, the organization's leader noted that donors will “line up to support” Harris “once she emerges as a potential candidate.” “What we do know is that we hear from all of our donors that they want to support her,” she said.
The donor adviser said five donors have already pledged potential six-figure donations to Harris' Democratic ticket. These efforts are in their early stages and funding will be uncertain if multiple women end up competing for the nomination.
At the same time, the newspaper writes, the momentum towards strengthening Harris's position, which is supported by female donors, also indicates that her position as a candidate to replace Biden is unstable. If an open convention is held, California Gov. Gavin Newsom or Illinois Gov. J.B. Pritzker could be contenders for the position. Newsom, with significant resources in California, is a powerful fundraiser and emissary of the party, while Pritzker is a multi-billionaire heir to the Hyatt hotel fortune.
Recall that it was previously reported that Biden's family is discussing how best to present his withdrawal from the election.
In addition, we previously reported that Biden called “more receptive” to requests to withdraw from the race.
