Thanks to the late winning goal by Erling Haaland, Borussia Dortmund prevented another setback in the Bundesliga. The Revierclub prevailed on Friday evening with a hard-fought 3-2 (0-0) win against TSG 1899 Hoffenheim and climbed to the top of the table for at least one night.
Haaland (90 + 1 minute) ensured BVB's second win of the season in stoppage time, before the two 18-year-old Giovanni Reyna (48th) and Jude Bellingham (69th) met at Westphalia. Christoph Baumgartner (61.) and Munas Dabbur (90.) each equalized for Hoffenheim. Nevertheless, Dortmund only made limited reparations for the 1: 2 defeat a week earlier at SC Freiburg.
Stefan Posch also played for the guests, the Styrian played as a central defender as usual. Florian Grillitsch was not in the Hoffenheim squad.
