Russian delegates will not be able to attend the July session of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly in Birmingham.

Great Britain refused to issue visas to the Russian delegation, which was supposed to take part in the July session of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly in Birmingham.

This was announced on Wednesday by the first Deputy Chairman of the Federation Council Committee on Foreign Affairs Vladimir Dzhabarov, Russian propaganda media write.

“We have received an essentially outrageous answer that the British government – literally – cannot issue visas to members of the Russian delegation to the OSCE PA since whatever purpose they visit the country,” he said.

He added that Russia previously asked the leadership of the Parliamentary Assembly “to resolve the issue of providing the British side with guarantees for the issuance of entry visas to our parliamentarians” for participation in “this most important inter-parliamentary event.”

The 29th annual session of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly will be held on July 2-6 in Great Britain in the city of Birmingham.
