British Prime Minister Boris Johnson discussed the situation in Ukraine with UN Secretary General António Guterres and advocated the implementation of the Minsk agreements, RIA Novosti reports citing Johnson's press service.

Speaking about the crisis on the Ukrainian border with the UN Secretary General, the British prime minister said that at the moment there is little evidence that Russia is withdrawing troops. The parties acknowledged that an attack on Ukraine threatens with large-scale consequences. Johnson and Guterres also called for the implementation of the Minsk agreements.

“The Prime Minister and the Secretary General also emphasized the importance of the good faith work of all parties to implement the Minsk agreements,” Johnson’s press service said in a statement.

Earlier, the Russian Foreign Ministry determined the actual deadline for the implementation of the Minsk agreements. Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said that if there is political will, this process can be completed in a few months.
