Andrew Cuomo
Another former adviser to the governor of the American state of New York, Andrew Cuomo, accused him of sexual harassment. The New York Times writes about this.
Charlotte Bennett, a former executive assistant and health policy adviser for the governor's administration, said she felt the need to share the incident with others and wanted to prevent the governor from “exercising his power.”
She reported that Cuomo molested her last spring. According to Bennett, then she was alone with the governor in the office. He asked the girl about her personal life and at some point asked if she had ever been with an older man.
In addition, the head of state complained to her about his loneliness in the conditions of the situation with the coronavirus and admitted that he “even had no one to hug.” At the same time, Bennett noted that the governor did not try to touch her. “I realized that the governor wanted to sleep with me, and I felt terribly uncomfortable and frightened,” she said.
The girl told the head of the Cuomo staff Jill De Rosier about the incident and asked about the opportunity to move to another position. Bennett was promoted to health policy advisor, but did not insist on investigating the incident because she enjoyed the job.
Cuomo himself, in a commentary to the publication, said that he “never flirted with Mrs. Bennett,” and also did not try to act “inappropriately” towards her.
Earlier, former adviser to New York Governor Andrew Cuomo accused him of sexual harassment. In particular, according to the woman, in 2017, he invited her to play strip cards. She first spoke about harassment in December last year. After her publication, Boylan claims, other women began to approach her with similar stories about Cuomo.
