Government specifies corona aid for suppliers

by alex

The federal government specified the corona aid for supplier companies on Sunday. Companies must meet the following three requirements: At least 50 percent “sales connection” with one or more companies that have been locked down. Furthermore, they must prove at least a 40 percent drop in sales compared to November / December 2019 and have this information confirmed by a tax advisor or accountant from a funding amount of 5000 euros.

Before the aid is paid out, the billing for the sales replacement for December must first be processed. The main reason for this is that how companies are affected (directly or indirectly) can change in the individual lockdown phases. As examples, the government cites a make-up artist who looks after private customers as well as works for the theater or a florist who also supplies local inns, hotels and events. “He is also directly affected with some parts of his turnover at different times and indirectly affected at other times,” the Ministry of Finance said in a broadcast on Sunday.

Therefore, it will be possible to apply for aid for the indirectly affected companies via FinanzOnline from the end of January. Due to the European rules on subsidies, the maximum payment amount is 800,000 euros, the minimum payment amount is 1,500 euros, in individual cases 2,300 euros.

In principle, the same criteria would apply as for sales compensation, also for the compensation rates of the individual sectors. According to this, an indirectly affected company receives the same percentage of sales from the trade as that applied to directly affected trading companies in the same period.

“Many thousands of companies with hundreds of thousands of jobs are massively supported, including small, micro and one-person companies. That was an important personal matter to me,” said Vice Chancellor Werner Kogler (Greens), who, like Finance Minister Gernot Blümel, pointed out the importance of aid pointed out for the labor market.

In addition to this revenue replacement, the Federal Government is working on further improvements for particularly distressed sectors as part of the Fixed Cost Grant II, assures the Ministry of Finance.
