TASS, August 2. Google will introduce new smartphones Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro in the fall based on processors of its own production. This is stated in a message posted on Monday in the company's blog.
“Tensor is our first custom-made chip for Pixel phones, and will power [the] Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro [which we will introduce] this fall,” the text reads.
According to vice president of the corporation Rick Osterloch, the new chip “will provide users with access to innovations in the field of artificial intelligence and machine learning.” Google is inviting consumers to look at the improved camera and speech recognition technology in new smartphones.
The first mobile devices of the Pixel line were introduced in 2016. Now Google in the production of smartphones uses processors from Qualcomm.
