Google to introduce combined text and image search
The American company Google introduces new search functions based on artificial intelligence. Among them – a combined search for images and text queries, according to a message on the website of the Internet giant.
“In the coming months, we will introduce a new way of visual search with the ability to ask questions about what you see,” – emphasized in the release.
Users browsing images will be able to click the “Lens” icon and enter a query to find similar images in other categories. This, in particular, should help with finding specific products in more stores.
In addition, Google is introducing a special system that will rank information according to the degree of its reliability and reliability. Users will be provided with additional information about the sources, topic, and feedback about the website from other pages. Also, the neural network will allow users to access information about the environmental situation in a given location using maps.
Recall that from January 1, 2022, the Yandex search engine will be used by default on certain types of gadgets sold in Russia. The order of the Russian government on this was published on the eve of the official portal of legal information. In addition, recently it became known that the owners of smartphones that run on outdated versions of Android will no longer be able to use Google services.
