Today Google announced the new Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro smartphones, without revealing almost any details about them other than the fact that they will work on the company's proprietary Tensor chipset.
Tensor is a system on a chip, but not all of its components are known now. Google itself has definitely developed two things for the platform – a mobile tensor processor (TPU) for working with artificial intelligence algorithms and the new Titan M2 security chip. Which CPU, GPU and 5G modem are in the system is a mystery. One thing is clear – Google will finally be able to release competitive flagship smartphones.
Thus, the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro can be expected to have a high price tag. It is known about the new models that the older one will receive a 6.7-inch screen with QHD + resolution and a refresh rate of 120 Hz. The smartphone will have a triple camera – shirik, ultra-wide and telephoto module with 4x optical zoom. The regular Pixel 6 will sport a 6.4-inch FHD + screen with a 90Hz refresh rate.
Smartphones will be released in the fall.
