Luke Wroblewski, head of the iOS development team at Google, published a post explaining which Google apps can make life easier for iPhone users.
In his blog, Wroblewski gave some tips on how to become an experienced user of Apple smartphones. He recommends using widgets, especially the Google Photos widget. The specialist is convinced that the use of widgets will allow iPhone owners to become more advanced users.
Another tip is to transfer Chrome tabs from phone to computer. This feature, called Handoff, lets you start browsing a page on an iPhone and continue reading it on a Mac.
In addition, iOS users should pay attention to the function that allows you to share the route from the desktop version of Google Maps to the iPhone. If you click on the address in the desktop version, the button “Send to your phone” will appear. Luke finds this option very useful.
The specialist also recalled that the Google application has an incognito mode, which does not record search queries. You can also improve the security of Google Drive by adding biometric verification to run. Alternatively, you can search for your lost iPhone through Google Assistant.
