In Russia, no cases of infection with a new strain of delta plus coronavirus infection have yet been recorded. This was announced on Wednesday, June 23rd, during the meeting by Russian Deputy Prime Minister Tatyana Golikova.

According to her, the Indian strain of the disease is currently the most common in Moscow, Nizhny Novgorod and Saratov regions.

– Indian scientists have reported about the delta plus mutation, which has not yet been recorded in Russia. In the near future it is necessary to take a number of absolutely traditional measures. We are talking about compliance with restrictive measures, limiting mass events, ensuring the level of testing, as well as vaccination and revaccination of those who have been ill and vaccinated, – said Tatyana Golikova.

As the website kp.ru wrote, earlier the Vector Research Center also reported that there is currently no delta plus coronavirus infection mutation in Russia. Scientists have to assess the epidemic potential of this strain.
