The German company Rocket Factory Augsburg (RFA) will purchase rocket engines produced by the Ukrainian Yuzhmash, writes Ars Technica.
The publication of the publication notes that the corresponding power plants will receive the carrier One, capable of launching up to 1.2 tons of cargo into polar orbit for three million euros.
RFA itself claims that they buy from the Ukrainian side not the entire power unit, but only its individual elements, in particular, the turbo pump, which “allows you to quickly develop an engine with a closed fuel cycle.”
Presumably, we are talking about the supply of elements for the RD-809K or RD-870 engines.
