A 17-year-old teenager was arrested in northern Germany, who was probably preparing a terrorist attack – he was supposed to run over people with a truck.
This is stated in the message dw with reference to German media and the prosecutor's office of the city of Flensburg in the state of Schleswig-Holstein.
According to media reports, the teenager was arrested on the evening of November 6 in the city of Elmshorn. It became known that he is a German citizen of Turkish origin. The sources also revealed details of his intentions.
The terrorist attack is to take place at one of the Christmas markets.
The representative of the Flensburg prosecutor's office, Bernd Winterfeldt, confirmed the arrest, saying that the teenager is suspected of “preparing a serious violent crime that threatens the state,” as well as conspiracy to commit murder.
Recall that earlier it became known that the Russians almost committed terrorist attacks on planes from Europe to the United States and Canada.
Western media reported that the attackers chose the logistics company DHL in Germany as their tool and Great Britain.
