The German army does not yet have new drones in service, which will be transferred to Ukraine.
Germany plans to transfer 4 thousand of the latest drones with artificial intelligence Mini-Taurus to Ukraine. They are equipped with advanced systems that make them resistant to Russian electronic warfare and GPS jamming.
Bild journalist Julian Repke writes about this in his article, UNIAN reports.
It is reported that deliveries of several hundred UAVs will begin in December, and some models are already being tested at the front in the eastern regions of Ukraine.
Resistance to electronic warfare : Mini-Taurus can effectively operate in conditions where Russian electronic warfare or GPS jamming is trying to jam their signal.
Artificial intelligence : Drones can independently analyze the terrain and accurately determine their location, even without a reliable radio signal. This significantly increases the accuracy of hitting targets.
Flight range : They have a flight range four times greater than that of the Ukrainian kamikaze UAVs, which allows the Ukrainian Armed Forces to effectively attack targets at long distances.
Price : Although the exact cost of the drones is not disclosed, for comparison, the American Switchblade 600 drones cost about 100,000 euros, and the Russian Zala Lancet – 35,000 euros. Mini-Taurus is probably cheaper.
Application : These drones have the potential to be used against key military targets, such as command posts and logistics centers in Russia.
Recall that after the collapse of the “traffic light” coalition in Germany, there was a threat of delays in decisions on further arms supplies to Ukraine, including drones. Before the collapse of the coalition, Chancellor Scholz discussed the allocation of 3 billion euros for military support, but the budget for these expenses has already been exhausted.
