Due to Russia's attack on Ukraine, our people are forced to hide in other states. There is no longer enough space for everyone.

In Germany, they say that 12 out of all 16 federal states have no place left for Ukrainians. More than 980 thousand people fled from Ukraine to Germany, but now the lands and municipalities are increasingly freezing reception.

875 Ukrainians arrive a day

The Federal Ministry of the Interior was told that recently, on average, only 875 refugees from Ukraine have been added per day. Several federal states are concerned that they will soon reach their limits.

Against this background, 12 federal states have already blocked the initial distribution system for refugees. In total, there are 16 federal states in Germany.

However, such temporary bans are not uncommon. Distribution is still possible. The federal government is helping with 318 properties and is now exploring further support.
