The USA may face a constitutional crisis due to the results of the last elections. His signs in the current situation were seen by German Defense Minister Annegret Kramp-Karrenbauer, Reuters reports.
According to her, the situation in the United States is very explosive due to the ongoing struggle between the main candidates for the presidency. “As experts rightly say, this is a situation that could lead to a constitutional crisis in the United States. And this is something that, undoubtedly, should cause us serious concern, ”the minister said on the air of the ZDF TV channel.
Earlier it was reported that the Prime Minister of Slovenia Janez Jansa congratulated the US presidential candidate from the Republican Party Donald Trump on his victory before the end of the vote count.
General Election Day was held in the United States on November 3. Citizens elected a president and vice president, 35 senators, the entire House of Representatives, 13 governors and local government representatives. There are no final results of the presidential election yet, but incumbent leader Donald Trump has already congratulated his voters on his victory.
To win, a candidate needs the votes of at least 270 electors. As of 1:30 pm Moscow time, Trump has 213 votes, while his main rival Democrat Joe Biden, who served as vice president under Barack Obama, has 238.
