The German Foreign Ministry called the expulsion of two German diplomats from Russia unjustified. This is how Berlin reacted to the corresponding decision of the Russian Foreign Ministry, TASS reports.
The German Foreign Ministry said that this step by Moscow would complicate relations between Russia and Germany. “This step did not come as a surprise, but, from the point of view of the federal government, it is completely unreasonable,” the department stressed. At the same time, the representative of the German ministry noted that Berlin will continue to strive for an equal dialogue with Moscow.
Earlier it became known that the Russian Foreign Ministry declared two diplomats from Germany persona non grata in response to the corresponding decision of Berlin regarding the employees of the Russian embassy. The Russian ministry stressed that Moscow will respond proportionately to any unfriendly steps of the FRG in the future.
