The German Permanent Mission to the OPCW has received a note from Russia on the incident with Alexei Navalny and will reply to it within 10 days. This promise was announced by the deputy official representative of the FRG government, Martina Fitz, RIA Novosti reports.

It is also reported that the second request of the Prosecutor General's Office of Russia on the incident with Navalny was sent for consideration to the Department of Justice of Berlin. Fitz added that the FRG does not see the need to take additional steps on the situation with Navalny.

On the eve, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said that Russia has no answers to inquiries on the situation with Alexei Navalny either from Germany or from the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW). The Foreign Minister noted that Berlin has still “not provided consular access to our citizen,” although such a request was sent a week and a half ago. In this regard, Lavrov hopes that in Germany they will be able to understand the futility of the conversation “from the position of some higher being, arrogantly demanding repentance.”

Navalny became ill on August 20 during a flight from Tomsk to Moscow, the plane was landed in Omsk. There he fell into a coma, a few days later from the Omsk hospital he was transported to the Berlin clinic “Charite”. European toxicologists said that substances from the Novichok group were found in Navalny's body. His tracks were found on a bottle from under water, which his relatives took from the room of the Tomsk hotel. In September, Navalny was brought out of a coma and discharged from the Charite.
