Germany makes new statement about sending its troops to Ukraine

German Defense Minister does not rule out the presence of German soldiers in Ukraine.

German troops could guard the buffer zone in Ukraine fire.

This was stated by the head of the Ministry of Defense, German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius, reports Süddeutsche Zeitung.

Pistorius does not rule out the presence of German soldiers in Ukraine. He considers it possible to involve the Bundeswehr in protecting the buffer zone after the ceasefire. It should be noted that during the politician's visit to Kyiv on January 14, the issue of deploying foreign troops in Ukraine was not discussed.

As for the defense budget, Pistorius states that it should be about three percent of the gross domestic product, not two.

Recall that President Volodymyr Zelensky stated that Ukraine is discussing the possibility of deploying a European peacekeeping contingent on its territory, but emphasizes the need for a broader system of security guarantees to ensure complete stability.
