German Chancellor Scholz says Berlin will keep channels of diplomacy with Moscow open

Germany did not want to refuse dialogue with Russia, the channels of diplomacy between Berlin and Moscow will be left open. This was stated by German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, his words are quoted by TASS.
At the same time, the German leader stressed that Germany would not be naive. According to him, for a genuine dialogue, the desire of both parties is required, but so far the Russian leadership has not demonstrated it.
Earlier it was reported that the Russian delegation in Gomel will wait for Ukraine's response to the talks until 15:00 Moscow time. The head of the delegation, Volodymyr Medinsky, later said that the Ukrainian delegation had confirmed its intention to negotiate with Russia.
On February 24, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced that he had decided to conduct a special operation in the Donbass. President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky announced the introduction of martial law in Ukraine and the severance of diplomatic relations with the Russian side.
