The head of the German Bundestag Committee on Defense, Marie-Agnes Strack-Zimmerman, called on the Ukrainian authorities to comment more cautiously on the supply of weapons by Germany and to stop verbal attacks against Berlin. This is reported by TASS with reference to Deutsche Presse-Agentur (DPA).

“I understand perfectly well that the nerves of the representatives of Ukraine are at the limit, but I do not understand the constant verbal attacks from the Ukrainian side against us,” the deputy said, criticizing Kiev’s recent statements.

At the same time, the representative of the Bundestag pointed out that in recent years Germany has supported Ukraine, guided by a sense of responsibility and friendship. “Therefore, in the heat of emotional struggle, Ukrainian representatives should not confuse their own and others,” she added, stressing that “a little moderation would be appropriate.”

Earlier it was reported that the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmitry Kuleba criticized and called the decision of Germany to transfer helmets to Kiev as military aid annoying. According to Kuleba, Berlin could and should have done more for Kiev – not only because of Ukraine, but also because of its position in Europe and the need to maintain security in the Euro-Atlantic space.

In the past, Germany has repeatedly refused to provide Ukraine with weapons. In particular, in January, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz and Foreign Minister Annalena Berbock made such statements. Ukraine also claims that Germany is blocking the supply of weapons to the republic through the NSPA agency (NATO Support and Procurement Agency, NATO Support and Procurement Agency).
